BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – Geological specialists Dimension Strata have joined hands with Italian energy consultants Serintel to offer a wider range of services to the Southeast Asian market.
The two companies inked a memorandum of understanding at the Radisson Hotel on Thursday, agreeing to pool their resources to offer geological consultancy and professional training to clients in Brunei, Southeast Asia and Timor Leste.
“By partnering with Serintel, we have a complete list of trainings that we can offer not only in Brunei but also in the region,” said Mohammad Reduan Hj Mohd Yusof, managing director of Dimension Strata.
The training programmes offered with Serintel could also extend to academic institutions in the future, helping them conduct geoscientific research in Borneo.
“One of the challenges facing the oil and gas industry today is being able to explore, develop, produce and continue to produce crude oil and natural gas from ever complex geological and geophysical conditions,” Mohammad Reduan said.
He added that with oil prices becoming more unpredictable in the middle to long term, companies need to minimise exploration risk to improve their bottom lines.
