BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd, Brunei’s leading Haj and Umrah operator, held a knowledge sharing talk on Sunday for intending pilgrims registered under its Haj packages for the 2019 season.

The session, attended by 785 people at the Arts Centre on Jalan Kota Batu, focused on what Haj pilgrims can expect during the month-long experience in Mekah and Madina.

Darussalam Holdings’ Managing Director Hj Mahmud Hj Mohamed said the travel operator has put several plans in place to ensure pilgrims’ experience is seamless, with the appointment of Haj officers to assist Bruneian pilgrims with their welfare and daily needs.

Fourteen medical officers will also be joining the delegation to provide any healthcare services, with clinics set up at the respective hotels where Bruneians are staying.

Hj Mahmud added that he will be leaving for Saudi Arabia on July 8 to ensure everything is in place before the arrival of Bruneian pilgrims in Mekah later this month, with the first batch arriving on July 18. They are expected to return to Brunei from August 18 onwards.

For this year, Darussalam Holdings is offering three Haj packages: Delima (Premium), Safira (Medium) and Zamrud (Economy).

Haj pilgrims registered under the travel operator can collect their souvenir kits from Darussalam Holdings’ head office at the Airport Mall Berakas, starting from July 2 between 9am and 4pm. The kit includes a luggage set for them to use during the journey.
