BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – On Tuesday, Brunei’s largest telco, Datastream Digital (DST), launched a milestone report on the potential of Brunei’s digital economy and ongoing efforts to drive the development of artificial intelligence.

Titled, State of Digital Economy and AI 2025: Brunei, the report was launched at the Brunei Business Conference by Dato Dr Hj Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah, second minister of finance and economy.

DST’s CEO Radin Sufri Radin Basiuni also delivered a presentation at the conference highlighting Brunei’s trajectory toward becoming a digitally advanced and AI-enabled economy.

In a statement, DST said the report highlights Brunei’s digital progress and growth potential across key sectors such as e-commerce, finance, mobility, and AI.

“With strong infrastructure and clear policy under Wawasan 2035, it calls for deeper partnerships and digital talent investment to fully unlock Brunei’s digital future,” the telco said, adding that the report was a strategic collaboration between DST and leading tech research firm, Twimbit.
