BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – Maju Motors has officially debuted the Denza vehicle brand in Brunei, marking a new chapter in premium new-energy motoring.

The launch ceremony was officiated by the Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in Brunei, Shi Rongke, alongside James Ng, managing director of BYD Singapore and the Philippines; Chan Key Hong, managing director of Maju Motors Sdn Bhd; and Stanley Lim, executive director of Maju Motors.

Jointly developed by BYD, Denza is a premium new-energy vehicle brand that brings together advanced electrification technology, refined craftsmanship and elevated comfort. 

With its Brunei debut, Maju Motors is offering car buyers something we’ve been waiting for: a premium alternative that is sophisticated, efficient and designed for the future.

Taking the spotlight is the Denza D9, Brunei’s first fully battery-electric luxury MPV, priced from $118,888. 

Designed for executive-level comfort, it delivers 368 horsepower and 470Nm of torque, accelerates from 0–100km/h in 6.9 seconds, and offers up to 580km of full-electric range.

The D9 features a first-class cabin with plush seating, premium materials, advanced rear passenger comfort controls, and exceptional quietness.

With BYD’s DiSus-C Comfort Suspension System, the ride remains consistently smooth, adjusting in real time to the road for maximum comfort.

Denza B5: Luxury, performance and intelligent hybrid power

For drivers who prefer the flexibility of a hybrid vehicle, the Denza B5 offers an impressive balance of performance and efficiency.

Priced from $73,800, the B5 delivers 578 horsepower and 760Nm of torque. The hybrid accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and offers a NEDC range of up to 975km.
