BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – Imperial Motors has been appointed the authorised distributor of XPENG, a leading manufacturer of electric vehicles in China.
Imperial’s parent company, Inchcape Brunei, said this marks another milestone in the firm’s long-term strategy to build a diversified, multi-brand automotive company to better meet the needs of Bruneian customers.
The addition of XPENG complements Inchcape Brunei’s growing automotive portfolio, which includes Toyota, Lexus and Subaru.
Introducing XPENG’s intelligent electric mobility solutions to the domestic market supports the country’s evolving automotive landscape while also providing customers with greater choice.
“The appointment of XPENG reflects our continued commitment to growing our business through strong OEM partnerships while meeting the evolving needs of our customers,” said Alex Hammett, managing director of Inchcape’s South Asia & Pacific portfolio.
“It is another important step in delivering our long-term growth strategy, expanding customer choice, and offering a wider range of sustainable mobility solutions in Brunei.”
Haji Ahmad, President of Inchcape Brunei, added:
“We are delighted to welcome XPENG to Brunei through Imperial Motors. This partnership introduces an innovative electric mobility brand to Brunei, giving our customers access to new mobility solutions, and we’re committed to delivering the trusted sales and aftersales experience our customers have come to expect from Inchcape Brunei.”
