The Baiduri Finance Mobile app allows customers with busy lifestyles to be in complete control of their finances –- wherever and whenever it suits them.

The app offers a range of the company’s services, including making hire purchase repayments, via a mobile platform to provide customers convenience in their banking experience. Waiting in long queues and searching for parking are among the inconveniences the app aims to minimise for Baiduri customers.

Baiduri Finance’s Loyalty and Rewards manager, Nurainun Abdullah said:

We plan to integrate our queue system into the app to provide flexibility to the customers who still prefer to use the counters. It will allow them to take queue numbers in advance and monitor the number at their convenience.

She added that iPad kiosks have been set up at both Baiduri Finance branches for walk-in customers to use the app on site. “It has become increasingly popular,” she said.

The Baiduri Finance Mobile app aggregates all the information a customer may need including information on the company’s products and services, list of car dealers, saving account rates, contact information as well as a “Getting Started” and frequently asked questions sections.

To aid customers, a Total Debt Service Ratio (TDSR) calculator is also available on the app to provide an indicative calculation that will help them make an informed financial decision.

Users of the app will also receive alerts on any payments, requests and applications as well as any upcoming event and promotions. Payments and a “bidding history” are also saved under the customers’ registered profile.

Nurainun said:

Customers do not need to be a Baiduri bank account holder to use the app. Customers just need to register via the app to make payment, bid for tender or submit any request.

The app is designed for all existing Baiduri Finance customers as well as any potential customers. It is available free for download on both iOS and Android devices via the App Store and Google Play Store.

Integrated with Baiduri Internet Payment Gateway Service (BIGS), the app accepts any bank prepaid, debit or credit card.

The app also provides customers with access to services and information they need to manage their hire purchase (HP) account, providing them with an easier way to pay their HP instalments.

Customers can also apply for the Baiduri Mastercard Auto Direct Prepaid Card via the app, which can be linked to a maximum of four HP accounts. Special offers and discounts specifically for this card are also available.

Looking to buy a car? All vehicles available for tender are listed on the app, which also allows customers to make an offer on the spot.

Customers can also renew their auto insurance by submitting a picture of their expiring cover note. They will then be notified once their new insurance cover note and road tax are ready for collection.

Nurainun assured that the app was secure and customers need not worry about trading off safety for convenience.

“Registered accounts via the app are password protected and payments via the app will go through the card verification process of the issuing bank,” she said, adding that they are also continuously working on ways to improve the app’s interface and user experience.
