Imagine walking through a tunnel lit up by hundreds of thousands of fairy lights, and walking among illuminated sculptures of classic storybook characters.

Introducing the “Story of Lights” — an outdoor exhibition of light sculptures at the Jerudong Park Playground.

The journey starts at a sparkling tunnel of lights set in front of the park’s entrance, guiding visitors through a “story book” entrance with sculptures that re-tell stories from Aesop’s Fables, such as the the Tortoise and the Hare, the Fox and the Goat, and the Ant and the Grasshopper.

With the adage that “today’s readers will be tomorrow’s leaders”, JP’s Story of Lights aims to instill a love of reading in children, enriching their lives with stories and wisdom.

Held in conjunction with the Brunei December Festival 2018, the playground had also lined-up several other activities for visitors, such as JP’s Animals in the Park and Movie Nights under the Stars, which takes place every Saturday from 7.45pm.

Some of the movies on offer include Disney favourites Ratatouille, Up, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and many more. Movie-goers are encouraged to bring their own blankets, cushions and bean bags to make the experience cozy and comfortable!
