For the ‘rent a tent’ and ‘rent a space’ zones, vendors will be selling miscellaneous items such as handicrafts, phone accessories, clothes, cosmetics as well as grooming services such as manicure and pedicure sessions.

Food trucks will be allocated in the parking area such as Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Aidijuma and Top Folk.

The Food Fest 2018 will take place from December 15 to 30 at Dermaga Di Raja, with more than 30 participating vendors selling food and miscellaneous items.

“Apart from efforts to enliven the capital, the event is organised to encourage the entrepreneurs not just to sell their products [during the Food Fest] but to promote them at the same time. We hope they will gain a new following.”

Held in conjunction with the Brunei December Festival 2018, the event also encourages youths to showcase their talents.

“We have provided a stage for those eager to perform. This can be a platform for them to [showcase their talent such as] singing, silat, cultural dance, tausyeh or nasyid,” said the representative.

The main highlight of the fest will be a 60-foot long light tunnel which will be placed near the surau area at the waterfront.

“Visitors can check out the tunnel and take pictures without having to pay for anything.”

Other highlights include a reptile showcase, a colouring contest, a make up demonstration, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) tournament, among others.

Vendors who wish to participate in the event can still register until December 14 by contacting Kesiya at 8180008 or Mims at 8352895.
