Just got your A Level and O Level results and unsure about your next step towards higher education?
Education consultants Findlay Sdn Bhd will be organising the ninth International Study Fair on Monday, January 28, from 2 to 7pm at the Rizqun International Hotel.
Representatives from 20 universities and colleges in Australia, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore and the United Kingdom will be on hand to discuss study options with students for undergraduate entry from 2019 to 2021.
Which universities will be there?
British institutions attending the fair are: Birmingham City University, De Montfort University, University of Dundee, University of Edinburgh, London South Bank University, Northumbria University, University of Portsmouth, Queen’s University Belfast, University College Birmingham, University of Southampton, University of South Wales, University of Surrey and University of Winchester.
Other universities that will be represented at the bi-annual event are Curtin University in Malaysia, James Cook University in Singapore, Centennial College in Canada and University of Tasmania in Australia.
Pathway providers Oxford International Education Group, Navitas and INTO UK will also be present to discuss foundation programmes and year one entry to prestigious universities in the UK.
And that’s not all — if you need to sit for the IELTS exam, CfBT will be on hand to give out advice, and for the first time, Plus-Exp, an exciting new portal that connects students with internship opportunities in Brunei, will also be present to showcase their service.
“We continue to make every effort to support young Bruneians in achieving their academic and career goals with our end-to-end solutions,” said Director of Findlay, Sunita Martin.
The Findlay team will be available throughout the event for any enquiries students have about higher education options.

Are there scholarships available?
Many of the universities will be offering generous scholarships and tuition fee discounts, such as the University of Tasmania which will offer a scholarship of 25 percent of their tuition fees for students with strong academic credentials.
UK institutions will also offer merit-based scholarships worth ÂŁ1,000 to ÂŁ5,000.
And if you’re looking for a bridging course into university, INTO pathways offers regional scholarships both at entry, and when the student progresses to some of their partner institutions.
Officials from the Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council and the Scholarship Section of the Ministry of Education will be on hand for questions from prospective students, while Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam will also have representatives present to discuss funding options and education loans with students and parents.
What if I don’t know what to study?
Students who are unsure of what educational or career direction to take can sign up for Findlay’s personal development workshops and the Morrisby Career Profiling assessment.
The Morrisby Profile is one of the most widely-known and sophisticated psychometric assessments in career guidance. The test assesses aptitudes, learning and personal working styles to help people make informed decisions about their careers.
The service can also be used by people who are looking to change their career path, return to work after a break, or who are looking for a level of self-awareness upon which to build a personal development strategy.
At the Findlay education fair, leading professionals from the private sector will also be available to help the students make informed career decisions.
Among the industries represented will be halal foods, business services, tourism, innovative technologies and creative industries.
“With this line-up of university representatives, government officials and industry players under one roof, we believe it will help to make these students more informed and also more employable,” said Martin. “It opens up good graduate employment prospects, making a real contribution to nation-building and diversification in Brunei”.
Students attending the fair are advised to bring along their academic transcripts. For more information, contact Findlay via Whatsapp at 722 2092/822 8887 or follow them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
