BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – The Korean Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan is calling on interested parties to apply for the 30th International Youth Forum which will be held in Seoul, Korea from from July 16 to July 23.

Organised by Korea’s Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, the forum will cover three main themes focusing on inclusiveness: school education and youth activities; media; and environment designs.

The objectives of the forum is to increase youth’s understanding of global issues and encourage them to find alternative solutions to improve cooperation and enhance mutual understanding among young people across cultures and nationalities.

A total number of 180 students from around the world will be selected to participate in the forum, including three Bruneians. Costs such as accommodation, meals and local transport during the forum will be covered by the Korean government, but participants must pay for their own airfare.

Candidates must be youths aged 18 and 26; have a good command of English; and have strong interest in the forum topics.

Interested applicants should submit the necessary documents via email the Korean embassy by May 21, 2019. Successful candidates will be informed via email.
