BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah has been discharged from the National Heart Institute in Kuala Lumpur after being admitted for fatigue earlier in the week.

At the advice of medical experts, His Majesty will continue to rest for a few days at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in KL before returning to Brunei, the Prime Minister’s Office said on Saturday evening.

His Majesty, 78, was admitted to hospital on Tuesday after feeling “tiredness” while attending back-to-back meetings for the ASEAN Summit.

The Prime Minister’s Office said that the sultan is in “good health” and will rest as long as needed.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has organised a special nationwide initiative to pray for the continued health and well-being of the sultan, with Sunat Hajat prayers held daily at all mosques, surau, and prayer halls in the country.
